How the Balloon Safari Works
You are collected from your camp before dawn and driven to the launch site. As the sun begins to lighten the horizon, the balloon is inflated and you climb into the gondola. The flight lasts approximately one hour and covers 15-25 km. Your pilot can descend to within metres of the ground to follow migrating herds, or soar to 300 metres for panoramic Serengeti views. The flight concludes with a champagne bush breakfast served in the open savannah.
